Hi Beni, I think your suggestions as to how to be good caretakers of our community and our country are excellent. I walk my dog, Spirit, each morning and I usually pick up 2 or 3 pieces of rubbish that have been discarded on the road. Our town, Almonte, is generally very clean but there seem to be those who think it's ok to drop their candy wrappers or coffee cups on the road. I'm always concerned about our birds and small animals picking at these bits of garbage and then getting ill. So it's easy to carry an extra bag and just pick things up as I go, and place them in a garbage bin. Little things can make a big difference, I think.
