At our Jubilee celebration I was performing in the Cook island group.
My highlight was dancing with my friends in the Cook island group because
I was representing a different culture from my own. I was very proud of myself.

It was a nerve wracking experience standing on the stage looking at all those eyes staring at us,
it was so scary it made me a little nervous,
my legs were shaking a little bit like a salt shaker.
The music started and I began to move to the rhythm.

I began to move together with the group as one body.
I gained my confidence and began to enjoy the dance. I did the best I could.
I could see the big smile’s on my mum and auntie’s face,
their smiles gave me encouragement and confidence, making me try the best as I could.
